Rue D’arcole - Plaque General Bonaparte
A few more snapshots from my last visit to Marseille.
- Rue d’Arcole refers to an early victory of young General Bonaparte against Austrian troops.
- The “Bourse & Chambre de Commerce” (stock exchange and commerce chamber) ;
- The imposing “Prefecture” ;
- And a shop with a colourful merchandising of “Notre-Dame de la Garde”, the icon of Marseille overlooking the harbour in order to protect the local sailors…
