Place de la Concorde - Palm Tree Experiment!

Back in February 2025 and well into the month of March, palm trees appeared on the Place de la Concorde, giving the formal royal square a very unusual appearance.

The city of Paris (not to name the person in charge…) apparently wanted to "experiment" with a new aesthetics for the location. It turns out they forgot to ask for the validation of the ministry of culture that manages all the locations considered “National Landmarks”.

End of March, the trees were removed as fast as they appeared...

Rumour has it there's another plan to make the Place de la Concorde very green in the future! Stay tuned!
