Napoleon - Upcoming Ridley Scott’ Movie
Joaquin Phoenix is to play Napoleon in an upcoming movie entitled « Kitbag » and directed by Ridley Scott! According to the news, the movie will focus on the rise of Napoleon, his military genius and his complex relationship with Josephine.

Turning the story of Napoleon into a single movie is a real challenge. A series would be more suitable to capture the evolution of his multifaceted character, his dizzying military, political and architectural accomplishments. Not to mention the complexity of his time period from the old regime to the French Revolution in the midst of European monarchs who were desperately hanging on to the old world order.

Director Stanley Kubrick had a movie project about the Emperor that he worked on years but had to give up due to lack of support from studios. Let’s hope Ridley Scott will see his through to the end. As of now, the director is working on another film set for release in 2021, so if we are lucky, « Kitbag » could be ready for 2022?
