Napoleon - Easter Monday Off!
Happy Easter!
In France, people enjoy their holidays and days off! Though I'm willing to bet most French do not know why they can enjoy their Monday off after Easter Sunday! They should be thanking Napoleon who made it a rule when he signed the Concordat with the Pope in 1801.
The Concordat was a treaty to re-establish the relations between the Catholic church and the French State after the Revolution had done away with everything Catholic...
So French people, on this Easter Monday, shout it out loud: "Vive l'Empereur!"...
