





Folies Bergère - Art Déco Façade
Would you agree this Art Déco façade is a stunner? This is the "Folies Bergère" theatre which opened in 1871 and was a big part of the Belle Epoque entertainment. The current façade dates back to 1926 although the gilded part was originally the colour of copper.
For those of you who are familiar with that time period in Paris, the names of Otéro, Chloë de Mérode, Loïe Fuller will sound familiar. Those famous dancers were later followed by the likes of Joséphine Baker, or Mistinguett who also performed in that cabaret theatre.
