Arc du Carousel du Louvre Renovation

The beautiful "Arc du Carousel du Louvre" has been rejuvenated for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Commissioned by the Great Napoleon in 1806 and designed by meister architects Charles Percier & Pierre Fontaine.

If you are near the Louvre Museum in the evening, come see the difference due to the restoration and the way the statues and murals are now lit up. Last photo shows before the lift. Some Parisians think the lighting is a bit too much. Which do you prefer?
