I had a pretty good idea of the history of the revolution before the tour, but Thierry provided anecdotes and backstory that I have never heard before at the direct locations where it all went down. Thierry´s tour in Le Marais takes you to beautiful places, hidden spots and shows you eye catching architectural buildings. He also presented us aristocratic dramas and scandals which show that he really dug deep in the history books and knows his onions. He was able to answer our many questions about the royalty of France, but also about other topics that didn't deal with the subject at hand. His manner of storytelling was also very interesting. He really is an amazing guide and you really feel immersed in living history. He also wields a wonderful iPad PowerPoint presentation that really helps you keep all the Louis’ and Henri’s straight! He is funny and speaks many languages with aplomb and he manages the tour so well and keeps the pace quick but not exhausting. We saw so many sights I had never seen and understood them in history.
